I love providing headshots in Alliston and surrounding areas. It was very important for me to become Accredited in this genre, and on April 26, 2023, I received my Executive Business Portrait Accreditation from the Professional Photographers of Canada. In order to prepare for this accreditation, I had to to prepare the following:
Ten (10) images of ten (10) different subjects showing ten (10) different poses from ten (10) different sessions in ten (10) different locations. Must have enough variety in the submission to show the photographer’s creative and technical ability. Head and shoulders, 3/4 and full-length poses must be shown. Four (4) images must be environmental portraits and four (4) images must be indoor portraits. The remaining two (2) can be from either environmental or indoor. Must show three (3) businessmen and three (3) businesswomen while the remaining four (4) images may be of either men or women. Environmental refers to the appropriate business environment, whether this is an industrial, office, or outdoor setting. The environment used is an integral element in the storytelling.
Accreditation is the first elevation above the general membership level and is achieved by submitting samples of the applicant’s photography to a PPOC Board of Examiners. Accreditation demonstrates that the photographer is capable of delivering professional quality photography in a chosen category. In assessing Accreditation Submissions, the judges will consider the following criteria: Vision, Impact, Composition, and Technical Merit.
Achieving this milestone lets my clients know that they can trust that the work I produce for them will be of superior quality, and that they will receive top-not customer service. Below is my submission:
